Swiss Chopard is one of the top watchmaking brands in the world today. Since 2014, the L.U.C XP Esprit de Fleurier watch, a high-end watchmaking series launched in limited edition every year, uses a variety of exquisite handcrafts to create a floral pattern dial, celebrating the core craftsmanship of the brand’s artistic style. The three new timepieces present three different colors of roses: yellow roses represent true friendship and the joy of life in the language of flowers; pink roses symbolize nobility, elegance and gentleness; orange roses represent warmth. The embodiment of unrestrained and secret love.
Chopard launches three new timepieces this time, which combine Grand Feu enamel and Fleurisanne engraving techniques. They are made of 18K white gold or 18K rose gold that meet ethical standards. Each model is limited to 8 pieces. Grand Feu enamel is one of the rarest and most exquisite craftsmanship in Chopard’s workshops. The enamel master drew inspiration from the pocket watches on display at the Chopard Museum (L.U.CEUM) in Fleurier, and drew on its aesthetic style to design a delicate and blooming rose. . Grand Feu enamel, developed since the 17th century, is one of the most prestigious traditional craftsmanship in the Swiss watchmaking industry. Colored powder mixed with silica and ground oxide is dissolved and then lightly applied to the dial to form a thin layer. After being baked at a high temperature of 800 degrees Celsius, repeated several times and polished, it will produce a rich and moist colored luster, which also gives the roses this time full of life.
The rose decoration is not limited to the dial. On the L.U.C 96.23-L movement equipped with Chopard Twin technology double barrels and micro-rotor, the gold watch bridge is decorated with exquisite Fleurisanne engraving patterns, exquisite engravings blooming like flowers. Patterning is a Fleurisanne carving technique that originated in Fleurier in the 18th century. It requires removing surface metal to reveal relief patterns and scrollwork decorations, and carving dots one by one on the back to create a rich grainy texture, and then rhodium plating. , contrasting it with the gold-plated pattern, resulting in a sophisticated and charming two-tone effect. The L.U.C 96.23-L self-winding mechanical movement can be seen through the transparent case back.
