BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE, who is good at creating geometric styles, is inspired by magnets and will launch a new “Duo” series of bags, which brings the collision and superposition of colors, making it fun, stylish and satisfying two color wishes at any time and anywhere.
As the new Duo series will be launched in March, BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE also took the lead in releasing a short video of about 23 seconds. The video starts with two U-shaped magnets, one gray and one yellow, attracting each other. BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE’s classic The triangular PVC plastic sheets go from one piece, to a group, to one, occasionally colliding, occasionally moving, in the clever background music, from 2D to 3D, and even transforming into a cube, and then rolling down the stairs, as if they have vitality, and they are interesting. Like cute.
It turns out that the name of the Duo series is translated from Latin, meaning “a pair” or “two”. BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE therefore split one bag into two, with two colors and two handles. It allows people to style it as they like or the occasion, and the double-sided, two-color design is like one person wearing two roles, one person having two styles at the same time. The video can already be viewed on the BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE official Instagram account, and the entire series is scheduled to be officially launched on March 6 (Wednesday).
