On the other hand, inheriting the brand’s spirit of continuous self-improvement and challenge in ultra-thin watchmaking technology, Piaget launched an ultra-thin hand-wound flying tourbillon that broke the world record. Piaget, which has set world records many times since launching the brand’s first ultra-thin watch in 1957, has launched an ultra-thin Altiplano Ultimate Concept watch with a thickness of only 2 mm based on the 2 mm thick ultra-thin concept watch (Altiplano Ultimate Concept) released in 2018. Flying tourbillon. The difficulty lies in the fact that the tourbillon frame requires space and more power, but it hopes to keep the thickness below 2 mm without greatly expanding the 40 mm diameter of the watch. First of all, in order to provide sufficient power for the tourbillon to operate smoothly and stably, a more flexible spring is used and the barrel is enlarged to maintain a 40-hour power reserve. The power is increased by 25% compared to the 2018 concept watch.

The 150th anniversary commemorative model of the PIAGET Altiplano Ultimate Concept series, the ultimate concept manual winding ultra-thin tourbillon watch, is only 2 mm thick.

The biggest structural change is that flying tourbillons usually use bottom supports. In order to maintain ultra-thinness, Piaget canceled the upper and lower bridges and instead used side supports to structure the gears through an ingenious three-corner structure. , so that the movement structure can be automatically adjusted to maintain smoothness and stability. There is a special tool when winding the crown. Pull it out, clamp it and turn it to wind it. The tool itself is designed to prevent excessive winding. This ultra-thin tourbillon has 7 patents from the 900p movement and concept watch, and 2 new patents related to the tourbillon structure are pending.

The PIAGET Polo series 42mm self-winding date display watch and 36mm date display self-winding diamond watch are limited to 300 pieces each. The second hand is engraved with the word “150”, and the beige dial is decorated with classic horizontal round mold stripes. The 42mm model is equipped with a 1110P self-winding movement, while the 36mm model is equipped with a 500P1 movement and comes with dark brown and khaki rubber straps. Another long necklace timepiece inspired by the rock and roll era, the dial is inlaid with white opal and the precious metal chain decoration shows the brand’s heritage in metalworking.
