The boutique brand Hermès will display its new home series and its classic items at the La Pelota showroom during the 2024 Milan Design Week held in Milan from April 16th to 21st. It hopes to evoke a journey with the theme of the earth. Our concern with our relationship to our surroundings. A series of combinations of raw earth materials and equestrian-inspired creative elements were on display, all confirming Hermès’s “original intention of combining excellent craftsmanship” spirit.
The new series is displayed in a way that transcends time, showing that Hermès products are not affected by time and fashion trends, while at the same time focusing on being down-to-earth, opening up a dialogue between the roots and flow of the earth, between materials and professional technology. In addition to bricks, stones, slates, wood and strata and other raw materials that influence the theme of the earth, the brand’s core equestrianism is reflected in the silk scarf knight uniform depicting the equestrian jockey, with colorful geometric patterns that also inspired the brand’s leather products and textiles.
Leather-stitched Derby series bucket-shaped objects, baskets and table centerpieces are crafted by skilled saddle leather craftsmen. The fabric part is woven, dyed, custom-made or quilted and embroidered to create the Tartan Dye throw in gradient colors and the Hippique cashmere bedspread in a new size. The new Diapason d’Hermès lounge chair is made of leather and hammered aluminum. The elegant and elegant Voltige d’Hermès lighting series is inspired by the rules of the equestrian jumping horse, integrating the characteristics of the bow rein, riding crop and jumping pole into the design. On the 27-piece new Tressages équestres collection, the light textures created by Virginie Jamin depict the gold ornaments and woven patterns on the harness, symbolizing the relationship between the horse and the rider.
