The authoritative survey organization Gallup recently released the “2024 Most Popular Singer in South Korea”. The survey was conducted from March 22 to April 5, 2024, and collected 1,777 people aged 13 and above in South Korea (excluding Jeju Island) Views. The singers and groups on this list have diverse styles, and the favorite singers of different age groups are also very different. However, in recent years, the most popular groups have remained in the top ten, including IU, BTS, NewJeans, BLACKPINK, etc.
First of all, the tenth to sixth places are BLACKPINK (2.2%), Yongzhuo, Song Jiaren (tied for ninth/2.4%), Chen Cheng (2.7%), Zhang Yuncheng (3.4%), and NewJeans (3.5%). This shows that Trot (Korean enka) is deeply loved by the public. The top four are Trot singer Na Hoon Ah, BTS, IU and Lin Yingxiong. The music style of the list is almost composed of KPOP and Trot styles.
