Valerie Duport joined Kering Group in 2016 as Communications and Image Director and became a member of the Executive Committee, reporting directly to François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of the Group. During her eight-year tenure, she was responsible for designing and executing the company’s communications strategy, enhancing the group’s image in the luxury goods industry and increasing its visibility and influence.

With a DEA degree (equivalent to a master’s degree) in contemporary history from Paris-Sorbonne University, Valérie Duport began her career in 1988 in the media department of Chanel’s perfume and cosmetics division in Paris. In 1994, she joined the communications department of the Chanel Watches and Jewelry Division and became department head in 1997. In 2008, she was appointed international director of press services and external relations at Chanel.
