DIOR releases 2025/2026 men’s winter wear

During Paris Fashion Week, heavyweight brand Dior released its 2025-2026 winter men’s wear at the École Militaire in Paris. Designer Kim Jones drew inspiration from Christian Dior’s 1954-55 autumn and winter Ligne H series to create a gorgeous men’s style. The show was star-studded with guests including Hollywood star Robert Pattinson, Thai actors Apo and Mile, Korean stars Nam Joo-hyuk, Han Shaoxi, and Thai actors Apo and Mile.

Dior global brand spokesperson Jay Chou, who appeared at the show, wore a black vest from the Dior 2025 summer men’s wear, paired with a black virgin wool blended seahorse hair coat and trousers. The bird and dog patterns represented by rivets on the coat are from Dior and South Africa. Created together with artist Hylton Nel; during the show, Jay Chou also took a photo with Hollywood star Robert Pattinson, who has performed in “Batman” and “The Twilight Saga”. Jay Chou also wore DiorOblique sunglasses, showing off the chic and unrestrained style of Eastern and Western superstars. Childlike and uninhibited.

This season, Dior’s menswear director Kim Jones combines the ornate complexity of the 18th century with the simplicity and practicality of the 19th century to recreate the simple (but gorgeous) look of contemporary men’s clothing. A large amount of black and white are embellished with pink and navy blue, making the overall men’s clothing sometimes light and sometimes self-conscious and introspective. Silk and satin are the main fabrics this season, and the exquisite draping design creates an artistic feeling with shadowy beauty and contrast of light and shadow.

The concepts of “transformation” and “morphological change” run through the entire series. For example, the 14th look transforms the crew neck sweater top into a structure that is wider at the top and narrower at the bottom. Look 18 adds bow ties, lapels and similar features to the common flight jacket. Palace-style pleats give it a new look; Look 32 transforms the loofah collar of a suit into a soft and high-end long-sleeved top through ultra-clear tailoring and leather. Bags have a soft structure but with masculine hardware, showing the Dior man’s softness and strength. This dual coexistence is also seen in the Dior Roller lambswool bag and the top-quality leather Dior Normandie tote bag.

The contrast in body size is another feature, such as high-waisted wide hakama skirts that resemble Japanese kyudo uniforms, and narrow-leg pants paired with extremely loose long coats. Also because of the recurring robes and coats, the show exuded a suggestive, religious and sacred atmosphere. Coupled with the free flow of the model when walking, it presented a free-spirited contemporary monk.

Inspired by Christian Dior’s 1954-55 autumn/winter Ligne H series, the two themes of “transformation” and “morphological change” run through the entire series of designs.
