Burberry’s Summer Campaign Cleverly Showcases British Humor.

The Same Rain, Different Feelings: Some may find the sensation of raindrops on their skin unpleasant, while others take joy in the crisp sound of raindrops falling. Burberry has unveiled its 2025 summer campaign, “It’s Always Burberry Weather,” featuring a diverse cast of Eastern and Western celebrities. The campaign transforms London’s unique romance and rainy season into a humorous interpretation of British daily life.

The campaign stars Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet, supermodel Liu Wen, legendary “Black Pearl” Naomi Campbell, British model David Gandy, as well as Burberry ambassadors, South Korean actor Son Seok-koo and Chinese actor Chen Kun. Notably, Burberry’s iconic “Warhorse Knight” is brought to life as a medieval silver-armored warrior, appearing alongside Liu Wen and Naomi Campbell in a playful, humorous scene that cleverly highlights British wit.

Burberry’s creative director, Daniel Lee, stated, “This season’s visual storytelling brings to life Burberry’s love story—one filled with humor, optimism, and of course, Britain’s ever-changing weather.” Meanwhile, Burberry’s CEO, Josh Schulman, emphasized that the 2025 summer campaign pays tribute to the brand’s heritage by celebrating joy and introducing apparel designed to protect people from unpredictable weather conditions.

London’s strong winds, mist, and damp climate are an integral part of British daily life. In 1879, Burberry’s founder, Thomas Burberry, invented Gabardine, a fabric known for its water-resistant, lightweight, and breathable qualities—an innovation that remains a defining characteristic of Burberry’s garments today. The brand’s Heritage trench coats and lightweight outerwear are crafted in Keighley, England, while Castleford trench coats utilize a lighter Gabardine weave and half-lining design, reducing weight and making them ideal for summer wear.

Burberry’s 2025 summer collection builds upon classic designs, reinterpreting trench coat elements into bonded cotton outerwear, flowing silk dresses, and shirts adorned with Burberry’s signature check collars. One standout look, worn by supermodel Liu Wen, embodies both individuality and elegance. Additionally, a lightweight coat crafted from triple-bonded wool revives the bold aesthetic of traditional Prince of Wales check, once again showcasing Burberry’s 160-year-old heritage and its deep-rooted connection to British aristocratic style.
