LV Expands into Beauty! Collaborates with Top Makeup Artist, New Collection Unveiled This Fall
Luxury fashion giant Louis Vuitton (LV) has announced the launch of its brand-new La Beauté Louis Vuitton makeup collection, set to debut in Fall 2025. The collection will be led by renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath, who has been named the brand’s Creative Director of Makeup. McGrath, often hailed as the “world’s most influential makeup artist,” brings decades of expertise to this new beauty venture.
Louis Vuitton, originally known for its iconic trunks, has expanded its influence across various luxury sectors, including men’s and women’s fashion, accessories, jewelry, watches, home decor, fragrances, and even fine dining. This latest beauty line further cements the brand’s vision of offering a comprehensive luxury lifestyle experience.
A Legendary Makeup Artist Joins LV
British makeup artist Pat McGrath holds a legendary status in the fashion world, having created makeup looks for Louis Vuitton’s runway shows for over 20 years. Beyond her collaborations with top designers and fashion houses, she launched her own beauty brand, Pat McGrath Labs, in 2015. Recognized for her contributions to the industry, McGrath was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2014 and, in 2021, made history as the first and only makeup artist to be knighted as “Dame” by Queen Elizabeth II.
A Heritage of Beauty & Innovation
The La Beauté Louis Vuitton collection is deeply rooted in LV’s legacy of craftsmanship and travel-inspired innovation. In the brand’s early years, Louis Vuitton designed custom trunks for transporting toiletries, perfumes, and cosmetics. By the 1920s, the brand introduced luxurious powder compacts, brushes, and mirrors, crafting bespoke beauty cases for figures like opera singer Marthe Chenal and Polish composer Jan Paderewski. Interestingly, LV’s very first women’s handbag was initially created to provide a stylish way for women to carry cosmetics and personal essentials.
A New Era for LV Beauty
LV Chairman & CEO Pietro Beccari shared his enthusiasm, stating:
“With La Beauté Louis Vuitton, we uphold our relentless commitment to quality, formulation, and innovation, naturally expanding into this new business domain. Through makeup, we have the opportunity to accompany our clients in their everyday pursuits of self-expression and enjoyment while celebrating our creativity and heritage.”
The first glimpses of the La Beauté Louis Vuitton collection are expected to be revealed soon. Early teaser images hint at luxurious packaging, possibly featuring LV’s signature monogram patterns—a detail that beauty and fashion enthusiasts will eagerly anticipate.
