FENDI celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2025 with a second collaboration with Japanese character designer Tarout for the Spring/Summer 2025 men’s collection. With a whimsical and imaginative style, Tarout depicts the story of the Fendi family across four generations, unveiling a series of enchanting illustrations. The iconic “Silvia And The Baguette” story comes to life across a collection of bags and accessories, with the unique Peekaboo X-Lite Small series being exclusively available in Japan.
FENDI first collaborated with Tarout in 2012, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Baguette bag designed by Accessories and Men’s Artistic Director Silvia Venturini Fendi. In this partnership, Tarout’s playful and charming narrative illustrations were featured on an Artist Baguette bag made from hand-painted canvas, turning Silvia Venturini Fendi into a cartoon character and accompanied by the illustration story titled Silvia & Baguette.
For this new collaboration, Tarout’s illustrations are inspired by the lively scenes from the Palazzo FENDI in Rome. The narrative highlights the journey of Silvia Venturini Fendi with her grandparents, the brand’s founders Adele and Edoardo Fendi, as well as Silvia’s daughter, Delfina Delettrez Fendi, Fendi’s Jewelry Artistic Director, and her children. In these scenes, Fendi’s captivating charm is reflected in everything from fruits and toast to rice balls, alongside the brand’s iconic Peekaboo and Baguette bags.
FENDI’s haute couture, leather goods, and accessories further contribute to this family journey: from the Baguette and Peekaboo bags to decorative canvas accessories, printed silk shirts, fisherman’s hats, and charms on bags. Silvia and The Baguette embodies the rich playfulness and artistic expression at the heart of the Fendi brand’s DNA.
