During London Fashion Week, Burberry presented its 2026 Spring/Summer collection, with Creative Director Daniel Lee drawing inspiration from the interplay of fashion and music. The show took place at Perks Field in Kensington, featuring rugged, earthy terrain and a constructed sky with clouds, reflecting Burberry’s dual urban and pastoral DNA. Attendees included brand ambassador Bright Vachirawit, British supermodel Twiggy, Korean star Jung Eun-chae, as well as brand friends and action stars Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
“Music symbolizes self-expression, originality, and belonging. From festivals and arenas to outdoor concerts, every summer the UK comes alive through fashion and music,” said Daniel Lee.
Indeed, various music genres — folk, rock, hippie, punk — carry distinct sartorial codes, shaping communities and tastes. This season, Burberry translated these influences into color-blocked, neon-hued plaid chainmail mini dresses, and plaid-and-leather cropped flared pants reminiscent of 1970s concert stages and rock performers.
Classic plaid appeared in multiple forms, including a suede bag with interlaced cut-out plaid patterns. Fringes became a symbol of movement, nostalgia, and hippie style, appearing on bags, elongated sleeves, and trims. Crochet detailing was also used as decorative accents throughout the collection. Denim suits were treated with a worn finish, including eye-catching pink tones.
References to the 1970s–80s New Age Movement were incorporated through prints and embroidery: Tarot card motifs adorned the iconic Trench Coats, while long-sleeve jumpsuits featured crochet patterns resembling crop circles, and embroidered suns and stars inspired by Tarot imagery brought a spiritual, reflective element to the collection. The season emphasized the connection between clothing, style, and inner essence, creating a full expression of Burberry’s heritage and contemporary vision.
