During Milan Fashion Week, Italian luxury brand Loro Piana presented its 2026 Spring/Summer collection for men and women at Palazzo Citterio in the city center through a static exhibition format. Themed around color, the presentation merged the brand’s century-long expertise in fine fibers with the 18th-century palace’s historic architecture and modern art ambiance, creating a seamless dialogue between past and present.
Palazzo Citterio, under renovation since 1972 and newly reopened at the end of 2024, houses masterpieces by modern art icons such as Amedeo Modigliani and Pablo Picasso. For this show, natural light streamed through ornately decorated windows, illuminating the collection’s garments. The palette ranged from warm earthy tones to bright, sunlit hues, with blended fabrics and subtle tonal variations forming a kaleidoscopic visual experience.
Renowned for its delicate fabrics and masterful dyeing techniques, Loro Piana extended its minimalist elegance to the exhibition design: horizontal lines created a sense of lightness, while colorful carpets anchored the space and echoed the collection’s theme. Silver mirrors and matte lacquered panels offered contrast, allowing the garments to reveal layered textures from different angles.
In addition to clothing, the brand’s latest handbags and leather goods were integrated into the exhibition, displayed atop carefully selected Italian walnut and lacquered antique furniture, reinforcing an understated yet luxurious atmosphere. The presentation not only highlighted Loro Piana’s reputation as a “master of fibers” but also underscored the brand’s ongoing dialogue with the world of art.
