The independent high-end watchmaking brand Parmigiani Fleurier launched a new interpretation of the Toric series of men’s formal watches at the 2024 Watches & Wonders Geneva watch show. The brand will usher in its highest performance year in 2023. The average price of its products has increased year by year. With the successful performance of the Tonda PF series, which appeals to elegance and sportiness in recent years, it will continue to work hard to reshape the classic Toric series, with colors inspired by the architectural master Kirby. The newly unveiled Toric series launches two small seconds and a split-second chronograph, adopting a simple and luxurious style: the entire series is made of precious metal cases, with gold dials and gold hour-marker hands, and crocodile leather watches. The strap is similar to haute couture, decorated with “punto a mano” meticulous stitching, and uses a pin buckle for easy viewing of the movement. The crown is made relatively large, mainly hoping that the watch owner can feel the texture of the winding and hear the sound of the winding.
The new hand-wound movement of the 40.5 mm small seconds hand and the 5 Hz high-frequency movement of the split-seconds chronograph are carefully carved from rose gold and carefully decorated with exquisite hand-polished lines: the small seconds hand PF780 uses a double barrel mechanism and is decorated with Fleurier ripples. The gold dial is a modern interpretation of the retro Cheve dial. The refracted light and shadow polished with a special technique are inspired by antiques. Appliqué hour markers connect the circles. Rose gold The case model has a sand gold dial, while the platinum case model has a gray green dial. The split-seconds chronograph with a rose gold case uses a natural brown earth-colored dial.
