Hollywood actor “The Rock” launches men’s grooming brand PAPATUI

American Hollywood actor, producer, and wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently launched his own men’s grooming brand PAPATUI. The brand name was inspired by his Samoan grandfather, Chief Peter Maivia.

PAPATUI has been developed for 4 years and includes a total of 12 products, covering a rich product portfolio such as skin care, hair care, body care and tattoo care. The main ingredients include ceramide, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and salicylic acid. The impressive scents in the collection come from the research and development results of DSM-Firmenich, the flavor and fragrance giant. Brand products are priced at US$5.99 or US$9.99 and are sold exclusively in Target stores and the brand’s official website.

Johnson said in an official statement: “The name PAPATUI means a lot to me. My Samoan grandfather, Chief Peter Maivia, was the first person to teach me what men’s care is. Even though I was only a 5-year-old Little punk, but my grandfather was one of my heroes. He was handsome, dark, well-groomed, always smelled incredible, and he was loved and respected by everyone, and besides that, He’s also very strong. His nickname for me is “Tui” and “Papa” means “rock” in Samoan and also represents my most important role: the father of three daughters.

Johnson has a strong fashion influence and has 400 million fans on Instagram alone. He said in the statement that the original intention of creating PAPATUI was to recommend his personal men’s care knowledge to more men. It is worth mentioning that because of Johnson’s iconic tattoo designs, PAPATUI’s tattoo care products are currently sold out.
