Leading fashion powerhouse CHANEL launched its new arts and culture publication, ARTS & CULTURE Magazine Vol. 1, in June 2025. Spearheaded by CHANEL’s Art, Culture & Heritage department and its president Yana Peel, the magazine spotlights collaborations between the brand, artists, and cultural institutions over the past five years.

Published entirely in English, the magazine features a large-format design and is printed on a curated selection of fine art papers. Across approximately 250 pages, it offers in-depth perspectives on artists from various disciplines. Highlights include feature articles on Cao Fei, Lu Yang, Savanah Leaf, and Tracey Emin, as well as a portfolio showcasing works by recipients of the CHANEL Next Prize, providing readers a glimpse into the extraordinary talents of emerging artists invigorating the contemporary art scene.

ARTS & CULTURE Vol. 1 also delves into CHANEL’s rich heritage, featuring an exclusive interview with architect Peter Marino, an essay by art historian RoseLee Goldberg, and a series of photographic works by Roe Ethridge created specifically for the CHANEL History Collection. These include objects from Gabrielle Chanel’s private residence and pieces curated by the brand’s Heritage department.

The magazine is simultaneously released at 23 independent bookstores across 20 cities worldwide, including Amsterdam, Bangalore, Bangkok, Berlin, Glasgow, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Milan, New York, Paris, São Paulo, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo, and Zurich. In Taipei, ARTS & CULTURE is available for browsing until the end of July at Moom Bookshop, with no commercial sale. Interested readers are welcome to explore this exclusive publication free of charge.
