“Classic designs can feel entirely new with just subtle updates. To celebrate its 270th anniversary, Swiss haute horlogerie brand Vacheron Constantin has introduced two new dial colors for its Overseas Ultra-Thin Perpetual Calendar, paired with three interchangeable straps, highlighting the model’s versatility.
The perpetual calendar complication displays hours, minutes, date, day, and month, accurately accounting for the varying lengths of months and leap years without manual adjustment. Traditionally considered one of horology’s ‘grand complications’ due to its complexity, the perpetual calendar typically requires numerous components and substantial thickness. Vacheron Constantin’s Overseas Ultra-Thin Perpetual Calendar, however, is powered by the 1120 QP/1 ultra-thin automatic movement—certified with the Geneva Seal—and measures just 8.1 mm in total thickness, allowing it to seamlessly complement everything from tailored shirts and suits to casual or sporty attire.
One of the Overseas collection’s signature traits is the integration of the brand’s iconic Maltese cross motif across the case and metal bracelet, creating a sharp, recognizable geometry. The two new editions feature a white gold case with a burgundy lacquered dial and a pink gold case with a matching pink gold dial. The white gold model comes with white and burgundy rubber straps, while the pink gold model includes deep blue and white rubber straps, making this collector-grade complication watch as wearable as it is visually captivating.
