Sabato De Sarno

Born in Naples, Sabato De Sarno started his career at Prada in 2005, then moved to Dolce & Gabbana. Sabato De Sarno’s first Gucci Spring/Summer 2024 show

Sabato De Sarno’s first Gucci show, before the show even started, used eye-catching burgundy to wash out global landmarks, and paired it with the adverb “Ancora” for “re” in Italian to declare that everyone would fall in love with fashion again. This red is not only impressive, but also has special meaning. It was the color of the elevator when founder Guccio Gucci was young and worked as an elevator attendant at the Savoy Hotel in London. It was also the color of Sabato’s first purchase in Milan when he secretly sold the gold necklace his parents gave him. The color of a Gucci jacket. Open a new era with colors that represent the brand and his personal fashion journey respectively.

The show was originally supposed to be held in the Brera district, the most artistic district in Milan, but due to heavy rain reports, we had to return to the headquarters. Although the visual scene of Italian architectural aesthetics was missing (imagine watching the show under the Brera Art Museum), “Back The sense of life and belonging of “home” may be a more simple interpretation of the sentence that touched me most in the show notes, “Items make people want to collect them, not to display them in museums, but to light up every day.” Aloof. Gorgeous things also retain warmth deep in their essence. True luxury should be able to shine in daily life. Bid farewell to the extreme luxury of the past, use the deletion method to find the core of the brand, and redefine the luxury that belongs to Gucci. Pair everyday hooded tops and jeans with patent leather glossy skirts or gorgeous diamond-embellished vests. Simple silhouette dresses are just that. An Italian woman seamlessly switches between her outfits during the day for work and afternoon drinks

It is said that Peter Hawkings was announced to take over the brand, and founder Tom Ford himself praised it!
