When you think of Italian desserts, what comes to mind? Tiramisu, gelato, or perhaps Cannoli from Sicily? This summer, Gucci—whose history also traces back to Florence—draws inspiration from the Florentine dessert Sorbetto to launch a new line of sorbet-colored GG Marmont bags. These bags have already been spotted on celebrities at the recent Cannes Film Festival in France and during Gucci’s 2026 Pre-Spring collection, sparking a fresh wave of zero-calorie sweetness in fashion.
Sorbetto, a dairy-free sorbet made from fruit puree or juice, offers a refreshing taste that often serves as a palate cleanser during meals. Julia Garner, who stars in 2025 films like Fantastic Four: First Step and Werewolf, was seen carrying a soft pink GG Marmont paired with a green mini dress at Gucci’s Pre-Spring show—effortlessly elegant and relaxed. British sweetheart Daisy Edgar-Jones was spotted on the streets during Cannes, styling the GG Marmont crossbody with jeans and a scarf-style crop top, perfectly showcasing the bag’s versatile “sweet and savory” charm that suits both formal elegance and casual streetwear.
The 2025 summer GG Marmont collection continues Gucci’s tradition of using soft, plush, lightweight leather. Practicality is enhanced with an interior pocket for cards and small items, while the metal chain strap is cushioned with leather at the shoulder for added comfort—whether carried by hand or worn on the shoulder. Available in four sorbet-inspired shades—pink, lavender, baby blue, and lemon yellow—these sweet, zero-calorie bags won’t melt, even under the brightest sun.
